PSA: if the internet doesn’t provide at least 46 solid Troubletones/Pitch Perfect fics within a month of the latter’s release, I am disowning you all.

So it goes like this: almost two years to the day after the Troubletones were disbanded and welcomed back into New Directions to the community-building strains of Fun., Mercedes is walking out of her latest meeting with an album rep to explain that you’re just not quite what our image is looking for right now and into a hallway full of identical LA clones waiting in line; Santana is working three waitressing jobs, singing kareoke at a different bar every Thursday night, and rotating her stuff between the walk-in closet Kurt and Rachel call a living room and whoever is this week’s fuck (none of whom have long enough legs or blonde enough hair or a knowing enough smile, but nevermind that now); and Brittany, having hitchhiked her way with no destination in mind, is wowing every pedestrian on Austin’s 6th st, but can’t find a home for her dancing or her kindness outside of a street corner.

They all receive a call from Sugar the same afternoon. Apparently, despite having never applied to Barden University - or, indeed, having ever heard of it - they’ve all been granted acceptances for the spring semester.

(Mercedes thinks that Sugar’s father promised the school a small mountain of gold; Santana thinks put a hit out on the entire dean’s office; Brittany knows that Sugar just hacked into WMHS’s records for their transcripts, wrote appropriate essays, and batted her eyes at the admissions committee until they, inevitably, relented).

Fairish & The One-Eyed Goatherd - Beauty(of ‘and the Beast’-type fame)’s okay-looking older sister Fairish gets her own potential fairytale. It doesn’t go too well. Featuring a heroine who really likes to say ‘screw you,’ a hero who knows how to rock an eyepatch, adventure, danger, random dragons, and all the goats you could possibly dream of. And then some.
